Who is it for?
This is for individuals who care for children either as a child minder, au pairs, pre school workers, parents etc... This is NOT an Ofsted approved certificate. However it is half of the approved course. If you wish to take the full Ofsted approved course you will need the QA Level 2 Paediatric First Aid. This course will certificate you for 3 years.
Duration: 2.5 Hours
What you will learn?
- Understanding the role of the First Aider, including use of available equipment and the need for recording incidents and actions.
- Assessing the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency.
- Administer first aid to a casualty who is unconscious
- Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Administer first aid to a casualty who is choking.
- Provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries.
